About Tandem Trails
Tandem Trails is provided by Lemar Systems Ltd. The app turns recorded daily walking into progress on virtual routes, with optional shared challenges and races. These terms describe use of the service. Contact support@tandemtrails.app with questions.
Using the app
You need a compatible Apple device. Shared adventures need an Apple Account, iCloud and an internet connection. Features that use walking totals need permission to read the relevant Apple Health data. Apple may limit the timing of background updates and notifications.
Your licence to the App Store app is governed by Apple's Standard End User Licence Agreement at https://www.apple.com/legal/internet-services/itunes/dev/stdeula/, unless a separate custom licence is provided through the App Store. Apple's services also have their own terms.
Walking safely
Tandem Trails is for recreation and motivation. It is not a medical service or a navigation tool. Virtual route progress does not mean you have physically visited a place, and route illustrations are not directions for a real walk.
Choose activity that is appropriate for you. Pay attention to your surroundings and stop if you feel unwell. Goals, races and forfeits should never pressure anyone into unsafe activity. Seek professional advice when you need advice about your health.
Your shared adventure
Share invite links only with people you want to include. Challenge participants can see the information described in our privacy policy. Treat your partner respectfully, agree on any forfeits together and do not share abusive, unlawful or infringing content.
Only upload photos or other content you have permission to use. You retain ownership of your content and allow it to be stored, displayed and shared as needed for the features you choose.
Totals, races and availability
Walking totals depend on Apple Health, device recording and sync. They may arrive late or be incomplete. Race results and virtual progress are recreational estimates, not a guarantee of measured activity. An internet connection or iCloud issue may delay shared updates.
We may update the app and its routes or features. We do not guarantee that every feature will always be available or that third-party services will operate without interruption.
Your rights
Nothing in these terms removes consumer rights that apply to you or excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including for fraud or for death or personal injury caused by negligence. The app licence's warranty and liability terms are set out in the applicable Apple or custom licence.
Privacy and stopping use
Our privacy policy explains the app's information handling and is available in Settings and at https://tandemtrails.app/privacy. You may stop using the app at any time. Removing the app does not automatically delete a shared challenge or copies of information already shared with your partner.
Changes and contact
